Curtis Lee was an American singer and songwriter who was active in the 1960s music scene. He was born on October 28, 1939, in Yuma, Arizona, and grew up in California. Lee is best known for his hit song "Pretty Little Angel Eyes," which was released in 1961 and peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was his biggest commercial success and has since become a classic of the doo-wop genre.

Lee continued to release music throughout the 1960s, but none of his subsequent singles achieved the same level of success as "Pretty Little Angel Eyes."
