Cutting Crew is a British rock band formed in 1985, known for their hit song "I Just Died in Your Arms" which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States in 1987. The band was formed by guitarist and songwriter Nick Van Eede, and they released their debut album "Broadcast" in 1986, which also featured the successful singles "(I Just) Died in Your Arms" and "One for the Mockingbird." The band's music is often categorized as pop rock and new wave, and they gained popularity in the late 1980s.
Despite the success of their debut album, Cutting Crew faced challenges with subsequent releases and went through several lineup changes. The band has released a total of four studio albums, with their latest being "Add to Favourites" in 2015. Cutting Crew continues to perform and tour, with Nick Van Eede being the only original member still in the band.
