Artist Bio:
Cymarron was an American country rock duo active in the early 1970s. The duo consisted of Sherrill Parks and Rick Yancey. Their most well-known song is "Rings," which was released in 1971 and reached number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also reached number seven on the Adult Contemporary chart. "Rings" was their only major hit, and the duo disbanded shortly after its release. Despite their short-lived success, "Rings" remains a nostalgic favorite among fans of 1970s soft rock and country music.
Cymarron's music is characterized by its harmonious vocals, folk-inspired melodies, and country rock instrumentation. The duo's sound has been compared to other popular country rock acts of the era, such as The Eagles and Poco. While Cymarron did not achieve long-lasting fame, "Rings" remains a classic example of the country rock sound that was popular in the early 1970s.
