Cypress Hill is an American hip hop group formed in 1988 in South Gate, California. The group was one of the first Latino-American hip hop groups to achieve mainstream success. Cypress Hill is known for their distinctive sound, which combines hip hop with elements of rock and funk. The group is composed of members B-Real (Louis Freese), DJ Muggs (Lawrence Muggerud), Sen Dog (Senen Reyes), and Eric Bobo (Eric Correa). They are best known for their hit songs "Insane in the Brain" and "Rock Superstar."


Cypress Hill has released several successful albums, including their self-titled debut album in 1991, which is considered a classic in hip hop.
