Dallas Frazier is an American country music singer and songwriter born on October 27, 1939, in Spiro, Oklahoma. He is best known for writing numerous hit songs for popular country artists, including "There Goes My Everything" by Jack Greene, "Elvira" by The Oak Ridge Boys, and "Alley Oop" by The Hollywood Argyles. Frazier's songwriting talents have earned him induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
In addition to his success as a songwriter, Dallas Frazier also had a career as a recording artist, with several of his own singles reaching the country music charts in the 1960s and 1970s.
