Damn Yankees was a rock supergroup formed in 1989. The band consisted of members from other well-known rock bands, including Ted Nugent, Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger, and Michael Cartellone. They released two albums, the self-titled "Damn Yankees" in 1990 and "Don't Tread" in 1992. The band achieved commercial success with hit singles such as "High Enough" and "Come Again", both of which received heavy rotation on MTV and radio stations.
Damn Yankees was known for their energetic live performances and a sound that blended elements of hard rock, glam metal, and pop rock. Despite their success, the band went on hiatus in the mid-1990s as members pursued other projects. Damn Yankees reunited briefly in the late 1990s for a series of live shows before disbanding again. The band left a lasting impact on the rock music scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s with their memorable songs and dynamic stage presence.
