Dan Fogelberg was an American musician, singer, and songwriter born on August 13, 1951, in Peoria, Illinois. He rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with his soft rock and folk-rock music. Fogelberg was known for his poetic lyrics and emotional ballads, which often drew from his personal experiences and relationships.


Some of his most popular songs include "Leader of the Band," "Same Old Lang Syne," and "Longer." Fogelberg released numerous albums throughout his career, with his most successful being "Phoenix" and "The Innocent Age." He was a multi-talented musician who played a variety of instruments, including guitar, piano, and drums. Dan Fogelberg passed away on December 16, 2007, after battling prostate cancer. His music continues to be cherished by fans around the world for its heartfelt storytelling and beautiful melodies.
