Dan Hartman (1950-1994) was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He initially gained fame as a member of the Edgar Winter Group, contributing vocals, keyboards, and bass guitar. Hartman later embarked on a successful solo career, best known for his hit singles "Instant Replay" and "I Can Dream About You." He also wrote and produced songs for other artists, including James Brown and Tina Turner.


Hartman's music blended elements of rock, pop, and disco, leading to his success in the late 1970s and 1980s. He also worked on soundtracks for movies such as "Streets of Fire." Despite passing away at a relatively young age due to complications from AIDS, Dan Hartman left a lasting impact on the music industry with his infectious dance tunes and versatile musical talents.
