Dan Seals was an American singer and songwriter who was born on February 8, 1948, in McCamey, Texas. He first gained fame as part of the soft rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley in the 1970s, known for hits like "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" and "Nights Are Forever Without You." Seals later pursued a solo career in country music in the 1980s, achieving success with songs such as "Bop," "Meet Me in Montana," and "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)."
Throughout his career, Dan Seals released 13 solo albums and had 11 No. 1 country hits on the Billboard charts. He was known for his smooth voice and heartfelt lyrics, earning him a dedicated fan base in both the pop and country music scenes. Seals passed away on March 25, 2009, at the age of 61 after a battle with mantle cell lymphoma.
