Artist Bio:
Daniel Boone was an American pioneer, explorer, and frontiersman who played a significant role in the exploration and settlement of Kentucky. He was born on November 2, 1734, in Pennsylvania and later moved to North Carolina. Boone is best known for blazing a trail through the Cumberland Gap in the Appalachian Mountains, known as the Wilderness Road, which allowed for westward expansion into Kentucky and beyond. He was also involved in numerous conflicts with Native American tribes during the American Revolutionary War.


Boone was a skilled hunter and woodsman, known for his ability to survive in the wilderness. He became a folk hero in his own lifetime and his adventures were widely reported in newspapers and books, helping to popularize the image of the rugged frontiersman. Boone passed away on September 26, 1820, in Missouri, leaving behind a legacy as one of America's most famous and celebrated pioneers.
