Artist Bio:
Danny & The Juniors were an American doo-wop group formed in Philadelphia in 1955. The group consisted of Danny Rapp, Dave White, Frank Maffei, and Joe Terranova. Their biggest hit came in 1957 with the release of "At the Hop," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a classic in the doo-wop genre and a symbol of the 1950s rock and roll era.
Following the success of "At the Hop," Danny & The Juniors had several other hits on the charts, including "Rock and Roll Is Here to Stay" and "Twistin' U.S.A." While they may not have achieved the same level of commercial success as some of their contemporaries, Danny & The Juniors remain an important part of the history of rock and roll and doo-wop music.
