Darius Rucker, born on May 13, 1966, in Charleston, South Carolina, first rose to fame as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish. The band gained immense popularity in the 1990s with hits like "Hold My Hand" and "Only Wanna Be with You." In 2008, Rucker embarked on a solo country music career, signing with Capitol Records Nashville.

With his deep, soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, Darius Rucker quickly found success in the country music scene. His debut country album, "Learn to Live," produced multiple chart-topping singles, including "Alright," which peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2009.
