Artist Bio:
Darlene Love is an American singer and actress, born on July 26, 1941, in Los Angeles, California. She began her music career in the early 1960s as a backup singer for artists like Sam Cooke and Elvis Presley. Love gained fame as part of the girl group The Blossoms, known for their hits like "He's a Rebel" and "Da Doo Ron Ron."


In the 1960s, Love also worked extensively with producer Phil Spector, contributing vocals to many of his famous "Wall of Sound" recordings. She is best known for her performance of the holiday classic "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" on the annual "Late Show with David Letterman." Love was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 and continues to perform and record music to this day.
