Daryl Hall and John Oates are an American pop rock duo known for their soulful harmonies and catchy melodies. They first met in the late 1960s while attending Temple University in Philadelphia and began performing together in various bands before forming their own duo. They released their debut album "Whole Oats" in 1972, but it wasn't until the release of their 1973 album "Abandoned Luncheonette" that they started to achieve commercial success.
Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Hall and Oates became one of the best-selling music duos of all time, with numerous chart-topping hits like "Rich Girl," "Kiss on My List," "Private Eyes," and "Maneater." They have won multiple awards, including several Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Despite a hiatus in the 1990s, Daryl Hall and John Oates continue to tour and perform together, showcasing their timeless music to new generations of fans.
