Artist Bio:
Daryl Hall and John Oates are an American pop rock duo, best known for their hit songs in the 1970s and 1980s. Daryl Franklin Hohl, born in 1946, and John William Oates, born in 1948, met in 1967 while attending Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They released their first album in 1972, but it was not until the late 1970s and early 1980s that they achieved commercial success with a string of hits like "Rich Girl", "Kiss on My List", "Private Eyes", and "Maneater".
Hall and Oates became one of the best-selling music duos of all time, with over 40 million records sold worldwide. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Despite their success waning in the late 1980s, the duo still tours and performs to this day, continuing to influence pop and rock music with their distinctive sound blending rock, pop, and soul.
