Das EFX is an American hip-hop duo formed in 1991, consisting of emcees Skoob (also known as Books) and Dre (also known as Krazy Drayz). They are known for their unique rapping style characterized by their use of fast-paced, intricate rhymes and a distinctive, high-pitched delivery. Das EFX gained popularity in the early 1990s with their debut album "Dead Serious," which featured the hit single "They Want EFX." The album was well-received by both fans and critics, establishing the duo as pioneers of the hip-hop subgenre known as "new jack swing."


Following the success of their debut album, Das EFX released several more albums throughout the 1990s, including "Straight Up Sewaside" and "Hold It Down." While they never achieved the same level of commercial success as with their debut, Das EFX maintained a loyal fan base and continued to influence the hip-hop scene with their innovative rhyming style.
