Dave Edmunds is a Welsh singer, guitarist, and record producer best known for his work in the 1970s and 1980s. He was a key figure in the pub rock and new wave music scenes, known for his rockabilly and roots rock sound. Edmunds achieved chart success with hits like "I Hear You Knocking" and "Girls Talk."

In addition to his solo career, Edmunds was a founding member of the band Rockpile, which also featured Nick Lowe. He worked as a producer for artists such as Elvis Costello and the Stray Cats.
