David & David was a short-lived American rock duo consisting of David Baerwald and David Ricketts. They released their debut album "Boomtown" in 1986, which received critical acclaim and commercial success. The album featured the hit single "Welcome to the Boomtown," which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Despite the success of their debut album, David & David disbanded shortly after its release due to creative differences. Both Baerwald and Ricketts went on to have successful careers as solo artists and collaborators with other musicians. Their one album as a duo, "Boomtown," continues to be remembered as a standout of 1980s rock music.
