He achieved his first major hit with the song "Almost Persuaded," which topped the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart and also crossed over to the pop charts, reaching number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Throughout his career, Houston released numerous hit singles, including "My Elusive Dreams," "You Mean the World to Me," and "Have a Little Faith."
