David Ruffin (1941-1991) was an American soul singer known for his work as a member of the Temptations from 1964 to 1968. He was the lead singer on many of the group's biggest hits, including "My Girl" and "Ain't Too Proud to Beg." Ruffin later pursued a solo career and found success with songs like "My Whole World Ended (The Moment You Left Me)." He struggled with drug addiction and personal issues throughout his life, which ultimately contributed to his untimely death at the age of 50.


Jimmy Ruffin (1936-2014) was also an American soul singer, best known for his hit single "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted." He initially found success in the Motown label in the 1960s and continued to record music throughout his career.
