David Lee Roth is an American musician, singer, and songwriter who is best known as the original lead vocalist of the rock band Van Halen. He was born on October 10, 1954, in Bloomington, Indiana. Roth helped Van Halen achieve massive success in the 1970s and 1980s with hits like "Jump," "Panama," and "Hot for Teacher."


After leaving Van Halen in 1985, Roth embarked on a successful solo career. He released several albums, including "Eat 'Em and Smile" and "Skyscraper," which showcased his flamboyant personality and energetic stage presence. Roth reunited with Van Halen for various tours and performances over the years, but he officially left the band in 2020. In addition to his music career, Roth has also worked as a radio personality and author.
