Artist Bio:
David Ruffin was an American soul singer and musician, best known as the lead vocalist for the Temptations from 1964 to 1968. Born on January 18, 1941 in Mississippi, Ruffin had a distinctive, gritty voice that helped define the Motown sound of the 1960s. His powerful and emotive vocal delivery made him a standout performer in the group.

Ruffin later embarked on a solo career, scoring hits such as "My Whole World Ended (The Moment You Left Me)" and "Walk Away from Love." Despite struggles with drug addiction and personal demons, Ruffin's talent and contributions to soul music remain highly regarded. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Temptations in 1989. Ruffin tragically passed away on June 1, 1991 at the age of 50.
