Artist Bio:
David Seville is the stage name of Ross Bagdasarian Sr., an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. In 1958, he created the fictional singing group "The Chipmunks" for a novelty record called "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)." The Chipmunks consisted of three animated anthropomorphic chipmunks named Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, each with their own distinct personality and singing style.

The Chipmunks' high-pitched voices were achieved by speeding up the playback of Bagdasarian's own voice recordings. The novelty song was a huge success, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and winning three Grammy Awards. This led to a series of albums and a successful animated television show called "Alvin and the Chipmunks," which aired from 1961 to 1962. David Seville and The Chipmunks became popular characters in pop culture and continue to be beloved by audiences of all ages.
