Dean Martin, born Dino Paul Crocetti on June 7, 1917, in Steubenville, Ohio, was an American singer, actor, and comedian. He rose to fame as a member of the popular singing duo Martin and Lewis with comedian Jerry Lewis in the 1940s and 1950s. Martin's smooth, relaxed singing style earned him the nickname "The King of Cool," and he became a successful solo artist with hits like "That's Amore" and "Everybody Loves Somebody."
In addition to his music career, Dean Martin also found success as an actor, starring in a number of films including "Rio Bravo" and "Ocean's 11." He also hosted a popular television variety show, "The Dean Martin Show," from 1965 to 1974. Dean Martin passed away on December 25, 1995, but his legacy as a talented entertainer and beloved performer continues to live on.
