Dee Clark was an American rhythm and blues and soul singer, best known for his hit songs in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was born on November 7, 1938, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and began his music career in high school, where he formed a vocal group called The Hambone Kids. Clark later signed with Vee-Jay Records and released his first solo single, "Nobody But You," in 1957.
One of Dee Clark's most popular songs was "Raindrops," which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1961. He also had other hits like "Hey Little Girl" and "Just Keep It Up." Despite his success in the music industry, Clark struggled with personal issues and substance abuse problems. He passed away on December 7, 1990, at the age of 52 in Smyrna, Georgia.
