Dee Clark was an American rhythm and blues and soul singer best known for his hit songs in the 1960s. He was born on November 7, 1938, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and began his music career as a member of a local gospel group. Clark gained national recognition with his single "Nobody But You" in 1958, which reached the top 10 on the Billboard R&B chart.


In 1961, he released his most famous song, "Raindrops," which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Clark continued to release music throughout the 1960s, with several more charting singles including "Hey Little Girl" and "Crossfire Time." He was known for his smooth tenor voice and soulful delivery. Dee Clark passed away on December 7, 1990, leaving behind a legacy of beloved hits from the golden era of rhythm and blues music.
