Artist Bio:
Dee Clark was an American rhythm and blues and soul singer best known for his 1961 hit song "Raindrops." Born on November 7, 1938, in Blytheville, Arkansas, Clark began his music career in the 1950s as a member of various doo-wop groups. He later signed a solo recording contract with Vee-Jay Records and achieved commercial success with songs like "Hey Little Girl" and "Just Keep It Up."


Clark's smooth and soulful voice garnered him a loyal fan base and critical acclaim in the early 1960s. Despite his promising career, he struggled with health issues, including diabetes, which eventually led to his untimely death on December 7, 1990, at the age of 52. Dee Clark's music continues to be celebrated for its timeless appeal and influence on the rhythm and blues genre.
