Def Leppard is a British rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield, England. The band's original lineup consisted of Joe Elliott (vocals), Pete Willis (guitar), Steve Clark (guitar), Rick Savage (bass), and Rick Allen (drums). Def Leppard is known for their melodic hard rock sound, catchy hooks, and multi-layered harmonies. They achieved commercial success in the 1980s with albums like "Pyromania" and "Hysteria".
In 1984, the band's drummer Rick Allen lost his left arm in a car accident but continued to play with the band using a custom-designed electronic drum kit. Def Leppard has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists in the world. They have released numerous hit singles including "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "Love Bites", and "Photograph". Def Leppard was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
