Del Amitri is a Scottish alternative rock band formed in 1983 in Glasgow. The band's original members were Justin Currie (vocals, bass), Iain Harvie (lead guitar), Bryan Tolland (guitar), and Paul Tyagi (drums). Del Amitri gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their melodic rock sound and introspective lyrics. They released their debut album, "Del Amitri," in 1985, followed by several successful albums including "Waking Hours" (1989), "Change Everything" (1992), and "Twisted" (1995).
Their most well-known songs include "Nothing Ever Happens," "Roll to Me," and "Always the Last to Know." Del Amitri went on hiatus in 2002 but reunited in 2013 for a tour and released their seventh studio album, "Fatal Mistakes," in 2021. The band's music is characterized by Currie's distinctive vocals and heartfelt songwriting, earning them a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim throughout their career.
