The song features Shannon's distinctive falsetto vocals and a catchy keyboard riff, making it a classic of the early rock and roll era. Shannon continued to release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with hits like "Hats Off to Larry" and "Little Town Flirt."

In addition to his successful music career, Del Shannon was also a talented guitarist and harmonica player.
