The group was formed in 2002 and consisted of four members: Gerald "Buddie" Tiller, Bernard "Jizzal Man" Leverette, Maurice "Parlae" Gleaton, and Jamall "Pimpin" Willingham. They were known for their energetic and catchy songs, often incorporating elements of snap music into their music.
Dem Franchize Boyz gained mainstream success with their hit single "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" in 2006, which peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group released three studio albums during their career, including their debut album "On Top of Our Game" in 2006. Despite their initial success, Dem Franchize Boyz disbanded in 2008. Their music continues to be celebrated in the hip hop community for its unique sound and influence on the snap music subgenre.
