Demis Roussos was a Greek singer and performer, born on June 15, 1946, in Alexandria, Egypt, and passed away on January 25, 2015, in Athens, Greece. He was known for his distinctive operatic vocal style and flamboyant stage presence. Roussos gained international fame as a member of the progressive rock band Aphrodite's Child in the late 1960s before pursuing a successful solo career.


His solo career took off in the early 1970s, with hits like "Forever and Ever" and "Goodbye, My Love, Goodbye," which topped the charts in several countries. Roussos was also known for his trademark kaftans and flowing hair, which added to his unique image as a performer. Throughout his career, he released numerous albums in multiple languages, selling over 60 million records worldwide and establishing himself as a prominent figure in the music industry.
