The band's original lineup consisted of Dennis Yost (vocals), James Cobb (guitar), Walter Eaton (keyboards), Joe Wilson (bass), and Kim Venable (drums). They are best known for their hit songs such as "Spooky," "Stormy," and "Traces," which helped define the soft rock and pop sound of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
