Depeche Mode is an English electronic music band formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The band's original lineup consisted of Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Andy Fletcher (keyboards), and Vince Clarke (keyboards). Depeche Mode rose to fame in the late 1980s with their dark, industrial sound and introspective lyrics. They have released a total of 14 studio albums, with their most successful albums including "Violator" (1990) and "Songs of Faith and Devotion" (1993).
Depeche Mode has achieved global success, selling over 100 million records worldwide. They are known for hits such as "Personal Jesus," "Enjoy the Silence," and "Just Can't Get Enough." The band has won numerous awards, including a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2018 for their album "Spirit."
