The Detroit Emeralds were an American R&B/soul vocal group from Detroit, Michigan. The group was formed in the late 1960s and consisted of four members - Ivory Tilmon, James Mitchell, and the brothers Abrim and Cleophus Tilmon. They were best known for their hit songs in the early 1970s, including "You Want It, You Got It" and "Feel the Need in Me". The group's music often featured smooth harmonies, catchy melodies, and a mix of soul, funk, and disco influences.
