Devo is an American rock band formed in 1972 in Akron, Ohio. The band consists of members Mark Mothersbaugh, Gerald Casale, Bob Mothersbaugh, Bob Casale, and Alan Myers. Devo gained popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s for their quirky music and eccentric performances. They are known for their unique sound, which combines elements of rock, punk, and electronic music, as well as their satirical and often surreal lyrics.


Devo is best known for their hit songs "Whip It" and "Jocko Homo." The band's distinctive image, which includes wearing yellow hazmat suits and energy dome hats, has also become iconic. Devo continues to release music and tour, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
