Diamond Reo was an American rock band formed in 1974 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The band was known for their hard rock sound, with influences ranging from Southern rock to glam rock. They released their self-titled debut album in 1975, followed by their second album, "Diamond Reo 2," in 1976. The band's lineup included lead vocalist Norman "Duke" McFadden, guitarist Greg Hays, bassist Larry "Wolf" Berkman, keyboardist Charlie "Burrhead" McCormick, and drummer Johnny Grin.
Diamond Reo gained popularity in the Pittsburgh music scene and toured extensively throughout the United States. Despite their energetic live performances and solid musicianship, the band struggled to achieve mainstream success and disbanded in the late 1970s. However, Diamond Reo left a lasting impact on the rock music scene, and their albums have since gained a cult following among fans of classic rock.
