Artist Bio:
Diana Ross & The Supremes were an American female singing group that achieved popularity in the 1960s. The group originally formed as The Primettes in Detroit in 1959, and after signing with Motown Records, they changed their name to The Supremes. The group's lineup consisted of lead singer Diana Ross, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard. They became known for their polished performances, glamorous style, and smooth harmonies.

Diana Ross eventually emerged as the group's lead singer and in 1967, their single "The Happening" became their tenth number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They are one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, with hits like "Baby Love," "Stop! In the Name of Love," and "You Can't Hurry Love." In 1970, Diana Ross left the group to pursue a successful solo career, and The Supremes continued with new members until disbanding in 1977.
