Artist Bio:
Dick and DeeDee were an American pop music duo consisting of Richard Gosting (Dick) and Mary Sperling (DeeDee). They were active in the 1960s and are best known for their hit song "The Mountain's High," which reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1961. The duo had several other charting singles, including "Thou Shalt Not Steal" and "Young and In Love."

Dick and DeeDee performed a mix of doo-wop, pop, and rock and roll music, and were known for their harmonious vocal style. They appeared on popular television shows of the time, such as American Bandstand and The Ed Sullivan Show. Despite not achieving the same level of commercial success as some of their contemporaries, Dick and DeeDee left a lasting impact on the pop music scene of the 1960s.
