Dickie Goodman was an American music and record producer, best known for creating novelty songs that featured "break-in" style recordings. Born on April 19, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, Goodman gained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for his unique style of music production. His most famous work is the "break-in" single "The Flying Saucer," released in 1956, which featured snippets of popular songs interspersed with comedic dialogue.


Goodman continued to produce novelty songs throughout the 1960s and 1970s, often collaborating with radio personality Bill Buchanan. Some of his other notable hits include "Mr. Jaws" and "Energy Crisis '74." Goodman's innovative approach to music production paved the way for future artists in the genre of novelty and comedic music. He passed away on November 6, 1989, leaving behind a legacy of humorous and inventive music that continues to entertain audiences.
