Dickie Goodman was an American music and record producer, best known for creating novelty songs that featured "break-in" style recordings. He was born on April 19, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, and passed away on November 6, 1989, in North Carolina. Goodman's most famous work includes the hit song "The Flying Saucer," released in 1956, which combined snippets of popular songs with comedic dialogue to create a humorous and innovative musical style. He continued to produce similar songs throughout the 1960s and 1970s, often collaborating with fellow producer Bill Buchanan.

Goodman's unique approach to music production earned him a loyal following and influenced other artists in the genre of novelty and comedy music. His legacy lives on through his pioneering work in creating mashup-style songs that blended music and humor in a creative and entertaining way.
