Artist Bio:
Dickie Goodman was an American music producer and novelty recording artist, best known for his novelty songs that used a technique called "break-in" or "break-in records." This technique involved splicing together snippets of popular songs and adding comedic or satirical dialogue to create a humorous narrative. Goodman's most famous song using this technique was "The Flying Saucer," which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1956. He went on to create several more successful "break-in" records throughout the late 1950s and 1960s.

Goodman's unique approach to music production earned him a cult following and established him as a pioneer in the novelty song genre. Despite facing some controversy and legal challenges over copyright issues related to his sampling of popular songs, Goodman continued to release new material and perform live shows until his death in 1989. His innovative use of sampling and comedic storytelling in music has left a lasting impact on the music industry and inspired many artists who followed in his footsteps.
