Artist Bio:
Dickie Goodman was an American music producer and songwriter, best known for pioneering the novelty song genre. He was born on April 19, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, and passed away on November 6, 1989, in Hollywood, Florida. Goodman gained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for his series of "break-in" records, where he would create comedic songs by splicing together snippets of popular songs with mock interviews and sound effects. His most well-known song is "The Flying Saucer," released in 1956, which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Goodman continued to produce novelty songs throughout the 1960s and 1970s, often collaborating with fellow producer Bill Buchanan. Some of their other hit songs include "Mr. Jaws" and "Mr. President." Although his music was sometimes controversial for its use of sampling without permission, Goodman's innovative approach to creating humorous and satirical songs left a lasting impact on the music industry.
