Digable Planets is an American hip-hop group formed in the early 1990s in Brooklyn, New York. The group consists of members Butterfly (Ishmael Butler), Doodlebug (Craig Irving), and Ladybug Mecca (Mary Ann Vieira). Their music is known for its jazzy beats, eclectic samples, and socially conscious lyrics, which often touch on themes of Afrofuturism, black empowerment, and spirituality.

Digable Planets released their debut album, "Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space)," in 1993, which featured the hit single "Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)." The song won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1994. The group released a follow-up album, "Blowout Comb," in 1994 before going on hiatus. They reunited in the 2000s for some live performances and later released new music in 2011. Digable Planets continues to be celebrated for their innovative sound and thought-provoking lyrics in the hip-hop community.
