Dino was the son of iconic entertainer Dean Martin, Desi was the son of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, while Billy was a family friend. They were all teenagers when they formed the group, and their connection to famous parents helped them gain initial popularity.

Dino, Desi & Billy released a few albums and singles in the mid-1960s, achieving moderate success with songs like "I'm a Fool" and "Not the Lovin' Kind." Despite their connections to show business royalty, the group's popularity waned as musical tastes shifted in the late 1960s.
