Dion is an American singer and songwriter who gained fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was born Dion Francis DiMucci on July 18, 1939, in the Bronx, New York. Dion started his music career as the lead singer of the vocal group Dion and the Belmonts, known for hits like "A Teenager in Love" and "Runaround Sue."


After the group disbanded, Dion pursued a successful solo career, releasing a string of hits including "The Wanderer" and "Ruby Baby." He is known for his distinctive voice and blending elements of rock and roll, doo-wop, and R&B in his music. Dion was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and continues to perform and record music to this day, showcasing his enduring influence on the music industry.
