Dion DiMucci, known professionally as Dion, is an American singer and songwriter who was born on July 18, 1939, in the Bronx, New York City. He rose to fame in the late 1950s as the lead singer of the Dion and the Belmonts group, known for hits like "A Teenager in Love" and "Where or When." Dion later embarked on a successful solo career, achieving further chart success with songs such as "Runaround Sue" and "The Wanderer."


Throughout his career, Dion has explored various musical styles, including doo-wop, rock and roll, pop, and blues. He is known for his distinctive vocal style and heartfelt lyrics. Dion was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and continues to perform and record music to this day, with his most recent album, "Blues with Friends," released in 2020.
