Dion DiMucci, known simply as Dion, is an American singer and songwriter born on July 18, 1939, in the Bronx, New York. He rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s as the lead singer of the Belmonts, a doo-wop group that had several hit songs including "A Teenager in Love" and "Where or When." Dion later embarked on a successful solo career, releasing hits such as "Runaround Sue" and "The Wanderer."


Dion is considered a pioneer of rock and roll music, blending elements of doo-wop, R&B, and rockabilly in his songs. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Grammy Hall of Fame. Over the course of his career, Dion has continued to release music and perform live, showcasing his distinctive voice and enduring influence on the music industry.
