Dion & The Belmonts were an American vocal group formed in the late 1950s. The group consisted of lead singer Dion DiMucci and backing vocalists Carlo Mastrangelo, Angelo D'Aleo, and Fred Milano. They were known for their smooth harmonies and doo-wop style, which helped them achieve popularity during the transition from rhythm and blues to rock and roll.
One of their most notable hits was "A Teenager in Love" in 1959, which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other popular songs by Dion & The Belmonts include "Where or When" and "I Wonder Why." They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2000, recognizing their contribution to the doo-wop genre and their influence on the early rock and roll era.
