Dionne Warwick is an American singer, actress, and television show host who gained fame in the 1960s with a string of hit songs. Born on December 12, 1940, in East Orange, New Jersey, Warwick began her musical career singing gospel music in church. She rose to prominence in the mid-1960s with popular songs such as "Walk On By," "Do You Know the Way to San Jose," and "I Say a Little Prayer."


Throughout her career, Warwick has won five Grammy Awards and sold over 25 million records worldwide. She is known for her smooth and soulful voice, as well as her collaborations with songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David. In addition to her music career, Warwick has also appeared in films and television shows, and she hosted the popular music show "Solid Gold" in the 1980s.
